Nestled in the beautiful valley of Ira is one of Vermont's few remaining dairy farms. Situated on 125 scenic acres of agricultural and wooded land, Milky Way Organic Farm is a small working family farm, education center, and tourist destination. Established in 2004, the Milky Way offers a bit of something for the young, the old, and the in between.
Open May 1st to October 31st, visitors are welcomed to take part in our daily interactive farm tours. You are free to walk around our meadows, say hello to our animals, have a picnic, or explore the beauty of our farm.
The Milky Way is a perfect spot to schedule your next field trip. Your day on the farm will be both educational and fun. Students and teachers alike will enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of a real working dairy farm.
